Getting Around & Using the Bugler

Dear ‘New’ Readers welcome to ‘The Morning Bugler’.

From time to time the Bugler is asked for assistance in pointing the way around the Bugler.

To that end the ‘Contact’ banner on the ‘headboard’ has now been unlocked though still locking out the auto ‘crawlers’ so any Reader can find it easier to ask for Direct assistance but do bear sympathetically in mind that TMB still has only one person at the coal face, the Bugler, who continues to produce the daily quota of work/information for around 40,000 people he represents Pro Bono and this must be the Priority.

It is helpful to know that the concept of TBM was to act as a daily diary to record evidence and comment for future use in litigation, eg, the ECHR Strasbourg Court where the target is the achievement of ‘exemplary damages ‘ [limitless].
The diary has now grown into a multifaceted Library of over 2000+ documents. An individual document can consisting of up to 347 pages and more, over the last 16 years. So even for the Bugler to find a particular item can be a challenge and he put it there!

Indeed from time to time the Bugler has been driven to use the House of Commons Library and it hugely admirable Librarian staff who are endlessly informative and patient and boy do they know their onions and of course not forgetting my lady friend at the Fire Service College its Librarian who would you believe used to clean my room and toilet daily and through determination achieved such wonderful dreams of success. I raise my hand in salute …

Using the Bugle ~ More of the Pragmatics

Using the Bugle ~ Now a little more of the pragmatics.

The Website is grounded on WordPress© and after selecting a design templates, an example can be altered to suit what you have in mind. All free of charge from these wonderfully skilled, creative, and generous ‘geeks’.

So this is how it works ~ I assume some basic knowledge ~ and this is how Dear Reader you can find your way around.

• Entry point is to find TMB and this is how…copy and paste this link below into the search facility at the top of your browser and up will pop TMB…  https://www.themorningbugler.com/

• The full screen presentation shows the Main Banner Headline, who TMB is, and immediately below this there are, left to right, 8 smaller sub Banner Headlines starting with Bugler UpDates, etc;

• It is not necessary to click the mouse on each sub Banner Headlines simply hover the mouse over the Headline and the sub Banner Headline will automatically reveal its contents then select the your choice. Do not click the mouse on the sub Banner Headline at this point . If you do so the process will dead end as it is designed to do.

• Just hover the mouse over each sub Headline in no particular order and each Headline will present a drop down DISPLAY menu of its contents automatically and sometimes a DISPLAY will auto DISPLAY another downward step  as you hover the mouse around e.g., a menu to the right may appear and so on.

• In any DISPLAY there may well be mixed contents some of which do not auto display a further content[Dead end] and then it is safe to assume it will not do so… then just click on it… to see its contents.

• An example: So suppose the Reader wanted to see the all important 6 Opinions which John Copplestone Bruce the Barrister wrote about this issue troubling us. This is how you do this…

• Got to the sub Banner Headline move the mouse to ‘Pension Law’ and it will open a Display menu;

• Go down the menu to Legal Chamber; move right and a further Display will open; then move down this menu until you arrive at ‘Barristers Opinion of Law’; another Display menu will open to the right and then choose ‘Opinion No:1’ and click on it and The Opinion  will open.

• To see Opinion No:2 use the small ‘Go Back’ arrow near the TOP left corner on the screen , ‘Go Back’,  and then take the same route starting with ‘Pension Law’ again looking for No:2, and so on.

•  All ‘Opinions’ and related correspondence are to be found in Pension Law/Libraries/Correspondence/ Years 2019 & 2020. Go Here.

• This is how it all works. It is not a puzzle, it is designed to be simple to use. Make all the mistakes you want you cannot harm the Website.

• Next look at Bugler UpDates section on the main panel. This is the method used to present new headlines. It always has at least one[sometimes more] “Go Here”, a link to click on. This is the protocol used throughout the Bugler to take the Reader somewhere else interesting, or useful. There are over 1000 such Links on the Website. If the link is broken then the Bugler will soon know… it is auto monitored …

• Normally there are up to 5 Bugler UpDates held and rotated horizontally automatically. Choose the one you want. If not it, use the ‘Go Back’ arrow and try again.

• Not published on the Website? There is additionally a large volume of unpublished correspondence held in Archives[in the back room so to speak] which are freely available should any Researcher/Reader give the Bugler an idea what precisely is being sought then it will be retrieved. There are no secret Archives.

• Hope all that helps…the Bugler.
