| THE PROPOSITION |

It is proposed to resurrect the historical Napoleonic ‘Irish Brigade’ not to fight but to provide succor and support to our Brothers and Sisters in the Emergency Services of Ukraine who by this time need a just a little help and a time to regroup. It is proposed, in a private initiative, to assemble a Pan~Europe International Brigade of Rescuers under the neutral flag of Ireland entitled the International Fire & Rescue Brigade ~ Ireland ~ Germany ~ France ~ Spain, and so on… Rescuers of every type with professional and human skills, or none, will be required. We will find a role for you. PPE will be provided/required and expect to carry portable rescue equipment and your own provided survival kit ; PPE bearing National and Service(non military) marking will come with mature obligations to the Nation you will represent in the field and to the International Fire & Rescue Brigade ~ Ireland. | Evaluating the Mission |
| The Bugler has more than four decades of experience in this Field of Operations.
The challenges in the field usually come from the work and Nature but this time they come from the work made by Man. Logistically getting a Mission onto the Field of Operations are usually the same.The first is always the excuses of apathetic governments, their apathetic politicians, and their bureaucracies. Then follows Distance and Transport ~ the second major challenge; Volunteers ~ their calibre and field capability; The provision of Full non-military PPE ~ with distinct identity National and Service is required and for the moment can be provided ~ personal effects minimal; Self sufficiency food field packs en route and in the field for 14 days;Shelter and Survival kit in the field on your back; A Time Goal ~ a defined period for relief/replacement. Discipline ~ acceptance of both imposed and more importantly self-disciple will be required. Discomfort comes gratis ! |

But in the event like hundreds of fellow ‘politicians’ on the gravy train after an initial template letter full of platitudes she disappeared. One presumes that there would not be enough photo opportunities on the battlefield for her and thus she took herself off the next posing coffee morning in Bruxelles… Frances Fitzgerald is an Irish politician who has been a Member of the European Parliament from Ireland for the Dublin constituency since July 2019. She is a member of Fine Gael, part of the European People’s Party. Clearly not a trench person and one who needs to be dropped from a new ‘post war’ European Commission and the Fine Gael Party who in the main have been very slow off the blocks when it really matters to real people in the Ukraine suffering a pogrom. Ms. Fitzgerald probably went to a private school which did not teach her the lessons of Ireland’s history and its pogroms but of course the Fitzs were not Gaels anyway they were Anglo Normans? |
